Guia

Situated slightly inland, Guia is a lovely little village, located about five kilometres to the west of Albufeira and is ideally located for exploring the rest of the Algarve. When you're not soaking up the sun or exploring the surrounding area, you'll find the village is home to a good selection of shops, bars and restaurants and it is famed for its 'piri-piri' chicken dishes (a traditional Portuguese dish). An ideal fun day out is 'Zoomarine' aqua park which is around five minutes drive away. For those who want to do a spot of shopping 'Algarve Shopping', a large commercial centre with fashion stores, a hypermarket and multi-screen cinema, is also just a few minutes drive away. Guia is also around a ten minute drive away from the beaches of Praia da Gale and Castello.
